Community Therapy Dogs Society (CTDS) brings comfort, connection, and joy to people across Calgary and surrounding communities (Airdrie, Chestermere, Cochrane, Langdon and Strathmore) providing positive interactions with volunteer therapy dog teams.
Our programs are delivered with commitment, compassion, and care. Whether visiting seniors, supporting students, helping people through stressful moments, or participating in community events, CTDS helps improve quality of life, one dog at a time.
Our Programs
CTDS offers three core programs: Visiting Tails, Listening Tails, and Caring Tails.
These programs bring volunteer therapy dog teams into care facilities, schools, hospitals, community settings, and other spaces where comfort, connection, and companionship make a meaningful difference.
Our Events
CTDS participates in community events, awareness activities, and special visits throughout the year.
We invite companies or community groups to host a therapy dog visit, workplace fundraiser, or community event in support of CTDS.
Volunteer
CTDS is volunteer-led and community-supported.
Whether you want to volunteer with your dog, volunteer without a dog, make a donation, or help spread the word, there are many ways to support our mission.
